Each year the CMSC offers a prize for the best journal paper written by an Early Career Researcher affiliated with the CMSC. To be eligible for the award a paper must:

• have been accepted for publication since the last due date for submissions and before the current due date for submissions.

• have at least one co-author who at the end of the previous calendar year is at most five years from receipt of his/her PhD (this includes students) and has been either a student supervised by a member of the Centre or been employed in the Centre at the time when most of the research was carried out.

The existence of a co-author who does not meet the eligibility criteria above will not preclude a paper from the award.
