Jesse Lansdown defended his PhD thesis on Wednesday (December 9, 2020) for the Aachen-half of his co-tutelle doctorate. Jesse's PhD candidature involves two institutions: UWA and RWTH Aachen, which meant that his thesis was examined by 3 independent examiners (for the UWA component) and he gave an oral defence (for the Aachen component). His thesis was on Designs in finite geometry and was co-supervised by John Bamberg, Alice Niemeyer, and Gordon Royle. Well done Dr Lansdown!
