At the Annual Meeting of the Australian Mathematical Society, the 2020 Gavin Brown Prize was awarded to CMSC members John Bamberg, Michael Giudici, and Gordon Royle. The prize is awarded for an outstanding and innovative piece of research in the mathematical sciences published by members of the Australian Mathematical Society, in the last 10 years.
